The coast of Oregon is an amazing place, of course. Rocky beaches, towering cliffs, and towering pine (rain)forests right up to the coastline. We stayed for a while in the Newport area - first in Waldport right on the bay, then a few days in an amazing, and expensive, campground right on the cliff overlooking the ocean, with a view of the famous Yaquina Head Lighthouse. We did some whale watching from the campground, but only saw 1 whale. We saw some from the lighthouse grounds itself and a couple on one of our trips to the south. It was the tail end of the migration season. We also visited the Oregon Aquarium, a small but nice place.

Sorry about all the videos!
