After a wonderful 3 month visit with Jack, our grandson, we waved bye-bye and took the RV back on the road and headed west. We had to dodge wind and rain, even staying an extra night twice when weather reports looked bad. We decided to visit the Carlsbad, NM area for a couple of days before we reached our first winter month-long stop in Tucson. Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Roswell were on the agenda. the Caverns were the best we have ever seen, although the pictures did not do the sights justice. Roswell was interesting, flying saucers and all, and the murals and statues in Artersia were an added bonus.
