We drove into Albuquerque thinking we would spend a nice couple of days there, and then head out to Santa Fe. Wrong! The day we were leaving, we brought the RV into La Mesa RV, only a mile away, because our big slide was not working right. Well, it needed 2 sets of new hardware that had to be shipped from Winnebago. So, we extended our stay a week and took side trips to Santa Fe and Taos.
When the parts came in, surprise, it was only 1 set. The other needed to be made by the factory - 2 weeks. Since we could drive with the slide in, we headed out to Colorado to complete our trip, and returned to Albuquerque to have to have the work done (2 days). Then, it was time for the long, last trip from the West back to the East coast, and the end of our odyssey.
